Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy or CBT, as it is most commonly referred, is an interaction between client and therapist that allows the client to recognize the connection of thoughts and feelings. The way a person thinks has such a profound effect on what we feel; we can learn to change that feeling by gradually changing the way we think about it. It is relatively easy to learn, but without proper guidance much more difficult to put into practice. It requires a motivated individual and has been shown to be highly effective, especially in the treatment of depression and anxiety.
